Privacy Opt-Out Request Form
Privacy Opt-Out Request Form
You are always in control of your personal information at La Bâché. Use this page to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, targeted advertising, profiling, marketing communications, or non-essential cookies — wherever in the world you're ordering from.
Why This Page Exists
This Privacy Opt-Out Request Form explains, in plain and specific language, the choices you have over your personal information when you visit or shop at shoplabache.com, operated by La Bâché LC Bryant LLC ("La Bâché," "we," "us," or "our"). It works alongside, and does not replace, our full Privacy Policy, which describes in greater detail what information we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
We are a women-owned, family-led small-batch skincare, hair, and Homme grooming house registered at 6560 N Mascher Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19120, United States. We ship to and serve customers in the United States, Japan, and the European Union, EEA, and United Kingdom, and each of these regions gives you distinct, legally protected choices about your personal information. This page sets out each of those choices clearly, region by region, and gives you a direct, working way to exercise them.
Nothing on this page requires you to create an account, and submitting an opt-out request never affects your ability to place an order, receive customer service, or access the same prices and promotions available to any other customer.
What "Opting Out" Actually Changes
"Opting out" is not one single switch — it is a set of separate choices, and you may select any combination of them. Below is exactly what each choice controls at La Bâché.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
Stops us from disclosing your personal information to advertising or analytics partners in exchange for value, or for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws.
USATargeted Advertising & Profiling
Stops us from using your browsing and purchase history to build an advertising profile of you, or from showing you ads on other sites and apps based on that profile.
All RegionsMarketing Communications
Stops us from emailing or texting you promotional content, restock alerts, and offers. You will still receive transactional messages needed to fulfill an order you've placed.
All RegionsNon-Essential Cookies & Tracking
Stops non-essential analytics and advertising cookies or pixels from loading in your browser. Cookies strictly necessary to operate checkout and site security continue to run, as they always must.
All RegionsSensitive Personal Information
Limits our use of any sensitive personal information (such as precise geolocation, if ever collected) to only what's needed to provide the products and services you've requested.
USARight to Object / Withdraw Consent
Lets EU, EEA, UK, and Japanese customers object to processing based on legitimate interest, or withdraw any consent previously given, for example for marketing.
Japan · EU · EEA · UKThe Personal Information We Collect & Who We Share It With
We keep this table current with what our systems actually do — not a generic industry list. If a category below shows "Not Sold," that reflects our actual practice as of the Last Updated date above.
| Category | Examples | Sold or Shared for Advertising? | Recipients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone, shipping/billing address, order ID | Not sold. Shared only with our advertising/analytics partners if you have not opted out. | Shopify (platform), payment processors, our email/SMS provider, shipping carriers |
| Commercial information | Products viewed, purchased, or added to cart; order history; refund/cancellation history | Not sold. May inform ads shown to you unless you opt out. | Shopify, our email/SMS provider, advertising partners (if not opted out) |
| Internet / device activity | IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, cookie identifiers | Not sold. Used for site analytics and, unless opted out, for retargeting ads. | Shopify, analytics providers, advertising partners (if not opted out) |
| Geolocation (approximate) | Country/region inferred from IP address, for currency and shipping | Not sold or shared for advertising. | Shopify (platform-level only) |
| Payment information | Card type and last 4 digits (full card data is tokenized and never touches our servers) | Never sold or shared for advertising. | Payment processor and card networks only |
| Communications | Emails, chat messages, or phone calls with our team, including cancellation and withdrawal requests | Never sold or shared for advertising. | Retained internally to respond to and document your request |
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. Where we work with advertising and analytics partners (for example, to measure how our marketing performs or show you relevant ads on other platforms), that arrangement can meet the broader legal definition of a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA and comparable state laws, purely because personal information is disclosed for cross-context advertising purposes. The opt-out choices on this page stop that disclosure going forward.
Your Rights Under U.S. State Privacy Laws
No single U.S. federal privacy law covers ordinary retail purchases, so U.S. privacy rights come from a growing patchwork of state laws. La Bâché honors the rights below for every U.S. customer, in every state, regardless of whether your specific state has passed a comprehensive privacy law — we do not limit these protections only to residents of the states listed.
California Consumer Privacy Act, as Amended by the CPRA
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.), gives you specific, enforceable rights over the personal information La Bâché holds about you.
Right to Opt Out
Direct us to stop selling or sharing your personal information, at any time and free of charge, using the form in Section 8.
Right to Limit Sensitive Data
Direct us to limit our use of any sensitive personal information to what's reasonably necessary to provide our products and services.
Right to Know, Access & Delete
Request the specific pieces and categories of personal information we hold about you, and request deletion, subject to limited legal exceptions (e.g. order records we must retain for tax purposes).
Right to Correct
Request that we correct inaccurate personal information, such as an outdated shipping address on file.
Right to Non-Discrimination
Exercising any of these rights never results in denied service, a different price, or a lower quality product — see Section 11.
Global Privacy Control
We recognize the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out-of-sale/sharing request for the browser sending it, per California guidance.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah & Other Comprehensive State Laws
A growing number of states have passed their own comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia's Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado's Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut's Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Utah's Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), and comparable laws in states such as Oregon, Texas, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, and others as they take effect. While these laws differ in detail, La Bâché applies one consistent, protective standard nationwide rather than a different policy per state.
Opt Out of Targeted Advertising
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with an equivalent right may opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data through the same form in Section 8.
Opt Out of Profiling
You may opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, consistent with VCDPA and CPA.
Appeal Rights
If we decline a request under one of these laws, several states (including Virginia and Colorado) give you the right to appeal; email bonjour@shoplabache.com with "Appeal" in the subject line and we will respond within 60 days.
One Nationwide Standard
We do not condition these rights on proving residency in a specific state; any U.S. customer may submit the form in Section 8 and we will honor it.
Your Rights Under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information
If you order from Japan, your personal information is also protected by Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報保護法, "APPI"), as most recently amended. La Bâché, as a business handling personal information of individuals in Japan, gives you the following rights.
- Purpose of use. We use your personal information only to process and ship your order, provide customer support, and — unless you opt out below — to send you marketing communications and show you relevant advertising.
- Right to opt out of third-party provision. Where we provide personal information to a third party for advertising or analytics purposes, you may direct us to stop, using the form in Section 8.
- Right to disclosure, correction, and suspension of use. You may request disclosure of the personal information we hold about you, request that we correct or add to it, or request that we suspend its use or delete it, where the requirements under the APPI are met.
- Cross-border transfer. Because La Bâché is based in the United States, personal information you provide is transferred to and processed in the United States. We take contractual and technical measures with our processors to protect that information consistently with APPI requirements for cross-border transfers.
- Consumption tax and order records. Order and payment records may be retained for the period required under Japanese tax law even after an opt-out or deletion request, consistent with our Refund Policy.
Your Rights Under the GDPR — EU, EEA & United Kingdom
If your order or account is connected to the European Union, the wider European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and the equivalent UK GDPR, give you the following rights over the personal information La Bâché processes about you.
"You have the right to object, at any time, to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, including profiling to the extent it is related to such marketing."
- Right to object (Article 21). You may object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest, including marketing profiling; once you object to direct marketing, we stop that processing without needing you to show any particular grounds.
- Right to withdraw consent (Article 7(3)). Where we rely on your consent — for example, for marketing emails or non-essential cookies — you may withdraw that consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
- Right of access, rectification & erasure (Articles 15–17). Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it, subject to limited exceptions such as records we must keep for tax and accounting law.
- Right to restrict processing & data portability (Articles 18, 20). Ask us to pause processing of your data while a dispute is resolved, or request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Right to lodge a complaint. You may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority at any time; this right exists independently of, and is never a substitute for, contacting us directly first.
- Legal basis for advertising. Where we rely on your consent for non-essential cookies and advertising, that consent is collected through our cookie banner and can be withdrawn there or through the form in Section 8.
Controlling Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage) let us run checkout securely, remember your cart, understand which pages perform well, and — unless you opt out — measure and personalize advertising. Full detail on each cookie category lives in our cookie disclosures within our Privacy Policy.
- Strictly necessary cookies keep checkout, cart, and account security working and cannot be switched off, as they do not constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under any of the laws referenced on this page.
- Analytics cookies help us understand site performance in aggregate; you may opt out of these through the form in Section 8 or your browser's tracking-protection settings.
- Advertising cookies support retargeting and measurement with our advertising partners; opting out of "Sale/Sharing & Targeted Advertising" in Section 8 disables these going forward.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or a browser extension sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a valid, verifiable opt-out-of-sale/sharing request for that browser, without requiring you to also submit the form.
- Browser-level controls. You can also block or delete cookies directly through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect certain site features such as saved cart contents.
Privacy Opt-Out Request Form
Complete the fields below and press "Prepare My Request" — it will open a pre-filled email in your default mail app addressed to bonjour@shoplabache.com, ready for you to review and send. Nothing is transmitted until you send that email yourself.
Submit Your Opt-Out Request
Use this option to stop the sale or sharing of your personal information and opt out of targeted, cross-context advertising.
Prefer a Browser Signal Instead of a Form?
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically treat that as a valid opt-out-of-sale/sharing request for that browser — no form required for that specific choice. You may still submit the form above for anything a browser signal cannot cover, such as marketing unsubscribes, sensitive-data limits, or access and deletion requests.
How We Verify & Process Your Request
Every request is reviewed by a person on our small team, not an automated black box, and follows the same clear path.
We Receive It
We log your request the same day it arrives by email, form, or GPC signal, and confirm receipt within 1 business day.
We Verify You
For access, correction, or deletion requests, we match at least two identifiers (e.g. name and order number, or name and email) to your account before acting, to prevent someone else from accessing your data.
We Apply It
Opt-out choices take effect within 15 business days for U.S. state law requests, and without undue delay — generally within 1 month — for EU/EEA/UK and Japan requests, consistent with GDPR and APPI timelines.
We Confirm
We email you once your request has been applied, and — for access requests — deliver the information in a portable, easy-to-read format.
If we need more time. For an access, correction, or deletion request that is unusually complex, we may extend our response by an additional period as permitted by the applicable law (for example, up to 45 additional days under the CCPA/CPRA, or up to two additional months under GDPR), and we will always tell you why before the original deadline passes.
If we cannot fulfill part of a request. Where a legal exception applies — for example, an order record we must retain to comply with tax law — we will tell you specifically which part of your request we could not complete, and why, rather than giving a generic denial.
Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent — such as a family member or a professional service — to submit a privacy request on your behalf, as recognized under the CCPA/CPRA and comparable state laws.
- What we need from the agent. Written permission signed by you authorizing the agent to act on your behalf, submitted using the form in Section 8 with the "authorized agent" box checked.
- What we need from you directly. For requests to know, access, correct, or delete your information, we may still contact you directly to confirm you authorized the request, or to verify your identity, before completing it.
- Power of attorney. If the agent holds a valid power of attorney under applicable state probate law, that documentation satisfies the written-permission requirement on its own.
You Will Never Be Penalized for Exercising These Rights
La Bâché will never deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any right described on this page. This commitment applies across every region we serve, not only where it is legally required.
We may offer financial incentives, such as an email sign-up discount, that are reasonably related to the value of the data involved; participation in any such program is always optional, clearly explained at sign-up, and can be withdrawn at any time without penalty.
Minors & Children's Data
Shoplabache.com is directed at adults and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years old.
If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at bonjour@shoplabache.com and we will investigate and delete it promptly.
Changes to This Opt-Out Form & Our Privacy Practices
As La Bâché grows and privacy law in the United States, Japan, and Europe continues to evolve, we may update this page to reflect new products, new shipping regions, or legal changes. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
Any opt-out choice you have already made remains in effect after an update; we do not require you to resubmit a prior choice.
